OFREMI, the French Observatory of Mineral Resources for Industrial Sectors, is proud to have supported Business France in organizing the very first large-scale mission to Australia and Indonesia.
On the Australian side, on the sidelines of the official program of the week, Stéphane Bourg and Patrick d'Hugues had many exchanges with the New Caledonia delegation and in particular with Fabien Trotet from the CNRTEC and Jean-Sébastien BAILLE from the DIMENC, whom we met for the first time in person after many months of videoconference exchanges.
We also had the honour of accompanying the DIAMMS - Interministerial Delegation for the Supplies of Strategic Minerals and Metals (Benjamin Gallezot) and the Directorate General of the Treasury (French Treasury) (Xavier Le Guennec) in several institutional meetings and to meet our colleagues from the Critical Mineral Office to take stock of the subjects involving OFREMI - French Observatory of Mineral Resources for Industrial Sectors as part of the dialogue Franco-Australian.
This was also an opportunity to exchange with the French representation in Australia, the Ambassador of France Pierre-André Imbert, Kambiz Mohkam, Diane Fauconnier and Inès Abderrahmane.
A big thank you to Business France Australia for the perfect organization with for the first time a France pavilion at the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC), one of the largest international mining exhibitions
This first week ended in Perth with a scientific seminar and exciting exchanges with our colleagues from the CSIRO STEM Professionals in Schools, foreshadowing future collaborations.
